Video: Holocaust Survivor Shares Her Story In Second Life

With some help from her daughter's Second Life avatar, Holocaust survivor Fanny Starr met with a group of the virtual world's citizens to share her personal experience of the horrors of genocide.

The video, while only a few minutes long, provides a brief glimpse of the horrors she endured, including an encounter with the notorious Dr. Josef Mengele. The lecture becomes especially noteworthy in light of the technology being leveraged -- the 87-year-old Starr has given many similar talks on her experiences throughout the past 30 years, but Second Life allowed her to reach a much wider audience without the burden of travel.

The full lecture is over an hour long, but features an in-depth question and answer session with members of the audience. A video is available from Second Life user GeoMeek

Paris hilton vs Galilea montijo video

Galilea montijo video still more hot than paris hilton. Most of the netter is looking for Galilea montijo video. That's why, at this time Galilea montijo more popular than paris hilton.

Any way, Paris hilton is celebrity with the longest popular until now, most of her life is still interesting for the netter. Like the last her history about...sentence for her

The following news (AP)Updated: 2007-05-11 08:37

Paris Hilton may not serve full sentence

Paris Hilton may spend far less than 45 days in county jail for violating probation because of state policies and jail overcrowding, authorities said Thursday.

Hilton, sentenced last week to do the time, could spend three weeks or less behind bars because of a state requirement that grants inmates time off for good behavior and because of overcrowding in the system, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

"It's possible that it could be 21 days, 23 days. It's a complicated formula that the state sets down. It's possible that she could do less time," Whitmore told The Associated Press.

As for overcrowding, "our jail is bursting at the seams" and some women inmates have been released after serving only 10 percent of their sentence, Whitmore said.

Last year, "Lost" actress Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating probation after her drunken driving arrest in Hawaii. She was released in hours because of overcrowding.

Hilton's time will be determined when she is booked into the county system, Whitmore said.

She will not receive any favors because she is a celebrity, he added.

"She will be treated like any other inmate who's classified as a low-level security risk," Whitmore told the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the development on its Web site.

A call to Hilton's publicist seeking comment was not immediately returned.

Hilton, 26, was sentenced last week for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to the women's jail in Lynwood by June 5.

Hilton intends to appeal and her fans have posted a petition on the Internet urging Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her.

Disney / Jim Henson Company has NO sense of humor

Got this from Sad Kermit on the MySpace today…..sad sad day.

Hiho everybody, Sad Kermit the Frog here.

The world is suddenly crashing in on me worse than it ever has before.
It looks like The Jim Henson Company, now owned by Disney, has had
YouTube and MySpace pull the “Hurt” video on the basis of copyright
infringement. I am so deeply saddened by this. The same very company I
gave years of blood and sweat to stabs me in the back with a
money-hungry grin. They never cared about me, goddamnit. What you see
before you is the shell of a frog who once had a soul, a life, a girl,
and Jim. I just don’t see how I can go on any longer with my only
artistic outlet being stripped from my bare, shaking, little frog
hands.

Remember, I love you all and wish you all the best. If you’re too far
into drugs like me, please get some help. Don’t go the same route as
me. And if you suffer from depression, please talk to somebody who can
help you. Do it for me.

Love always,

Sad Kermit

P.S. New video out in early/mid May…

Seriously. Disney? The shit is funny, get the stick outta your ass. Alas, it’s true:

The image “http://farm1.static.flickr.com/216/474695977_fd1833dcbd.jpg?v=0” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

As if Sad Kermit needed any publicity. Parody, Disney, is not copyright infringement. I didn’t hear NIN yelling about Sad Kermit’s usage of the song “Hurt”. Why? Because they have a sense of fucking humor and realize it’s GREAT publicity for their song.

Some companies will never learn man.

UPDATE: Dailymotion ain’t no punks.
